Breaking down the hike:

Mode of Operations: Hiking Adventures with Rooted Rose

  1. Arrival Time:

    • All hikers are strongly advised to arrive at the trailhead half an hour before the scheduled hike start time. This allows for proper group coordination and ensures a timely departure.

  2. Purpose of the Hike:

    • Peaking the mountain is never the sole objective of our hikes. We embark on these journeys to hike, enjoy nature, and foster a sense of community. If circumstances such as weather, injury, or group dynamics suggest turning back is the best option, your guides will make this decision promptly.

  3. Prior Experience:

    • No prior hiking experience is necessary, but an open mind to the trails is encouraged. Even beginner hikes in the White Mountains present challenges due to rocky terrain, water crossings, and elevation gains. Embrace the adventure, meet the mountain, and learn along the way.

  4. Your Guides - Erika and Dom

    • We are your experienced, insured, and dedicated guides. Your main focus is to be a respectful community member and put one foot in front of the other. We are here to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.

  5. Proper Gear & Preparation:

    • All hikers must come prepared with the proper gear. We are available to schedule a free 15-minute call at any time to address your concerns, discuss necessary equipment, and provide guidance for a successful hike. Winter Gear and backpacks are available to rent when booking

  6. TRUST:

    • You are capable of navigating the challenges presented by the trail. Trust in your abilities, stay open to the experience, and revel in the journey.

Reminders:

  • Hiking is about the experience, not just reaching the summit.

  • Challenges are part of the adventure; embrace and learn from them.

  • Safety is our top priority; decisions to turn back are made with careful consideration.

  • Respect the trail, the group, and the guidance of your hosts.

  • Prepare for an adventure that goes beyond the physical journey—Rooted Rose hiking experiences are about connection, growth, and the joy of exploration.
